What is BIM Modeling?
Building Information Modeling (BIM) is the process of designing buildings using smart 3D models. Using this technology, architecture and construction professionals can efficiently plan, design, construct, operate buildings and infrastructure.

What are the stages of project BIM development?
Conceptual Modeling LOD 100
The first stage is the preliminary planning of the parameters of the object, its location on the ground, height, volume, area. The preliminary cost per square meter is calculated, the objects-analogues are studied.
The detailed modeling with the formation of drawings is performed. The elements are given clear parameters as well as their number, size, shape, location and position are also specified. At this stage it is possible to add non graphical information to the model.
Working documentation (RD) LOD 400
The finished 3D model includes all the exact information about the equipment, volumes, quantities of elements and materials. Fully filled with architectural, structural and engineering solutions. Creation of working and estimate documentation.
Design Solutions LOD 300
Contains a general view of the model, where the elements are modeled with approximate numbers of elements, shapes, location and orientation. The information at this stage is sufficient to assess the feasibility of the project. It may also contain non graphical information.
Pre-Design Solutions LOD 200
3D Model for Operation of LOD 500
The stage of model revision after construction. The model is checked for compliance with the standards of installed equipment and performed construction and engineering works. The finished project is handed over for maintenance and operation.

What does 3D, 4D, 5D BIM mean?
3D is a three-dimensional model of the object with all the necessary details, equipment and technical characteristics.

4D - (3D + time) is a 3D model, but now taking into account the timing of construction separately for each stage.

5D (4D+money) takes into account the cost of work stages, materials and cash flows.

6D - this is the stage of maintaining the project.


Why do you save with BIM?
